Apex Legends is on the verge of its tenth season being released, and the standout addition from this season is a new Legend, known as Seer. In Seer’s toolkit, you’ll find a range of intelligence gathering abilities like a heartbeat sensor, drones that will follow marked targets, and an ult that shows enemy footsteps.
Apex Legends’ next update hasn’t had a whole lot of info released about it, but leaks have shown that it has something to do with the Worlds Edge map. The theory is that the map will end up getting damaged or even partially destroyed by a catastrophic event that will end up changing around a lot of the points of interest.
Update 1.69 for Apex Legends has fixed an issue that has been around since mid-May, namely Wattson’s inability to slow down opponents, greatly reducing her utility. Her electric fences are now functioning properly, and you can test them out with your friends to see just how effective they’ve become once more.
Apex Legends was developed by Respawn Entertainment, which is the team behind EA’s successful Titanfall franchise. Titanfall and Respawn Entertainment have an interesting history, as they were founded by some of the key members of Infinity Ward, the team behind the development of the first
Call of Duty Modern Warfare.
After two of the studio leads brought up a dispute with Activision about unpaid royalties, they were dumped from the team and went on to found Respawn. While Titanfall has typically been a well-reviewed series, it has never received quite the amount of success that EA had hoped for it.
This is where Apex Legends comes into the picture. Taking advantage of the battle royale craze of the mid- to late-2010s, Apex Legends brought new life to Respawn Entertainment. The game is set in the same universe as Titanfall, featuring many of the same weapons that series veterans may already be acquainted with.
Unlike Titanfall, which is a team-based shooter, Apex Legends is a battle royale that is primarily team-based, featuring teams of three that battle for survival. What sets apart Apex Legends from other battle royale games is that each of the characters you can select has an array of unique abilities.
This allows you to distinguish yourself from other players in ways other than just finding the best possible loot and making it to the winner's circle. While this may not make Apex Legends a traditional battle royale game, it diversifies gameplay and adds another layer of depth to your strategies.
As with any other battle royale game, Apex Legends features a huge map with plenty of personality and points where you can expect to find loot. There are even flying airships that are filled with chests that can take you around the map, so be sure to explore every point of interest you can.
There are also many similarities between Apex Legends and other battle royale games, as you would expect. For example, the storm will slowly shrink until you end up in a small circle with all of the remaining competitors, where you will battle it out to see who is the true winner.
As you’d expect, this results in extremely competitive gameplay that can be frustrating if you’re not a complete pro at Apex Legends. If you’d like to get an edge on your opponents without having to invest a huge amount of time in it, then you may be interested in the Apex Legends cheat packs that we have on offer.
As with most free-to-play titles, Apex Legends has had trouble with cheating throughout its history. This is mainly due to the very nature of free-to-play gaming, as it creates an environment where there’s much less risk for a player using cheats since they have no actual investment in the game.
In a game that you have to purchase, cheating can be combated by discouraging people from having to repurchase the game. Most people wouldn’t be too keen on spending $60 every time they get caught cheating to purchase a new game, but if the game is free to play, then the risk is substantially diminished.
